In his first season at Pacific, Curtis began the season in the?? set-up role, transitioned to the closer, moved into long relief when the need arised and also served as a spot starter. Curtis finished the season with 4.17 ERA in 45.1 innings. Pasma was second on the Tigers with three saves, posted a 3-2 overall record and struck out 44 batters. Curtis delivered his best performance of the season against No. 1 Cal State Fullerton on Apr. 23. Pasma tossed 5.1 innings of relief against the Titans, allowing one run on five hits and a walk. Despite Pasma's effort, the Tigers fell to Cal State Fullerton, 8-4.<p><b>Junior College:</b><p> A transfer from Reedley College, Pasma set the Reedley school record with 121 strikeouts in his sophomore season. Curtis threw 111.2 innings in 2005, finishing the season with a 3.14 ERA. Following his sophomore season, Pasma was named to the All-CVC First Team. Curtis was also named Reedley College Pitcher of the Year in 2005. In his first year at Reedley, Curtis posted a 3.41 ERA in 71.1 innings, allowing 27 earned runs and surrendering just 45 hits. Pasma also excelled in the classroom, earning the 3.0 and above GPA award in both years at Reedley.<p><b>High School:</b><p> Curtis graduated from Madera High School in Madera, Calif. As a Coyote, Pasma was a standout both on the baseball field as well as for the bowling team. Pasma was the closer for the Coyotes during his junior and senior seasons. He helped his bowling squad complete three consecutive Tri-Rivers Athletic Conference championships.<p><b>Personal:</b><p> Curtis Pasma is the son of Mike and Barb Pasma. He has four siblings, A.J. (27), Jason (25), Keith (22) and Danielle (19). In his second year at Pacific, Curtis is majoring in sport pedagogy.
